Disciples Do

Disciples Do is a discipleship development tool for those who want to grow as genuine disciples of Christ.  It consists of a series of three-week units, each covering one specific aspect of living as a disciple.

Through completing these units, you will develop habits that should become permanent parts of your ongoing way of life.  Continually applying what you have learned will equip you for living as a genuine disciple of Christ.

Disciples Do Units

Quiet Time

Quiet Time

The most fundamental aspect of discipleship is abiding in Christ. Read your Bible, pray, and pay attention as the core of abiding in Him. You get to know God more intimately and accurately. You learn how to recognize His activity in and around you. You respond to the opportunities that He brings into your life. A daily quiet time is the foundation of this lifestyle.

In Unit One, you establish the practice of a daily quiet time with God.

Worship

Quiet Time

Worship is the most natural response to recognizing God for who He is. The person who knows God cannot doesn’t need to be coerced into worshipping Him. That person, in fact, cannot be stopped from worshipping Him. However, one must approach God on His terms, not in whatever way one chooses.

In Unit Two, you learn about worship that God desires and approves.

Pay Attention

Pay Attention

Read your bible, pray, and pay attention. Of the three, paying attention presents the greatest challenge for the growing believer. One must live with awareness, alertness, preparedness, and expectation so that when God moves one is ready to respond in faith and answer His call.

In Unit Three, you give attention to living with such a perspective.
